The ERA have been pushing WBC for more clarity on progress with the NWDR works in the Old Forest Road area and timeline for re-openings.
Whilst WBC plan to issue a more detailed update in due course, we have received the following interim update from WBC:
“There were some issues with the substructure found when part of OFR was dug up – this has resulted in minor delays. It is anticipated that the stretch of OFR down towards Toutley Road (leading to a dead end) will re-open in week commencing 5th April and will give pedestrian access to Emmbrook Walk and Old Forest Meadows. The existing pavement is being retained.
At the same time, the work on Toutley Road will increase. The date for final completion remains as Summer 2022.”
